If you visit Bangkok, don't forget to visit Wat Traimit
in Chinatown. There is the Golden Buddha. It is made of
pure Gold and 3 metres tall and weighs 5.5 tonnes
It is the story of a stone buddha they found and tried
to move 1957. The work failed because the stone buddha was
too heavy. Inside they found the Buddha of pure Gold.
Let this be a lesson. Inside all of us there is a Golden
Buddha. We all have a piece of the universe inside. We just
has to find it. We have to dig and let a lot of our bad
behaviour and thinking go and we will find it.
I was in Bangkok jan 2009 but they had closed the temple
and I could not see it. I will not miss it next time.
